Israeli defense contractor Rafael has equipped its Trophy active protection system with a top-attack defense capability, closing a vulnerability against drones and missiles. The upgrade was unveiled in Jerusalem last week, with the system undergoing live-fire testing against a drone. The top-attack capability is available through a software upgrade to existing Trophy installations. Rafael claims a 90% effectiveness rate for Trophy, which is in use on Israeli and American military vehicles and recently signed a deal with Germany. The company will showcase its products at the AUSA arms exhibition in Washington next week.
