A group of Ukrainian pilots completed a six-month training in France last week, as announced by the French Air Force. The training program consisted of three parts, with the first phase in the UK, and the third phase in Romania. In France, the pilots trained on the Alpha Jet aircraft, which can fly at a maximum speed of 900 km/hour. The training involved 80 hours in the air and 70 hours on a simulator.
Additionally, the final leg of the training is expected to involve the pilots training on F-16s for 60 hours, with the aircraft capable of flying at around 2,100 km/hour. The group reportedly consists of ten members, although the French Air Force committed to training 26 Ukrainian pilots. Ukrainian pilots are also undergoing training in the US and Denmark to operate Lockheed Martin aircraft.
