Houthi rebels in Greater Middle East are using foreign arsenals for missiles and drones from Iranian technology and derivatives. Behnam Ben Taleblu, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank, stated that the Houthis possess some of the most sophisticated copies or variants of Iranian weapons. The arms include unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-ship ballistic missiles, and unmanned surface vessels. Houthis have launched at least 25 attacks since mid-November in the Red Sea area. The U.S. Navy took credit for downing more than 60 missiles and drones earlier this month and have a variety of tools at their disposal. U.S. troops sunk three Houthi boats after responding to distress calls from the Maersk Hangzhou container ship. Vice Adm. Brad Cooper describes the clashes as an international problem and briefed reporters about Operation Prosperity Guardian. Some 1,500 ships have moved through the waters since the start of the operation.
