Russia captured the village of Krutiy Yar in its advance towards the eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk. The village is located 13 kilometers southeast of Pokrovsk. Residents of Pokrovsk have been evacuated since this summer, with the city being home to 60,000 people before Moscow’s offensive. Russia has been claiming villages in the Pokrovsk area for weeks. Additionally, Moscow announced the capture of the village of Vishnevoye in the northeastern Kharkiv region. Ukraine had also mounted an incursion in Russia’s border Kursk region.
