Lockheed Martin is appointing Chauncey McIntosh as the new leader of its F-35 fighter jet program, taking over from Bridget Lauderdale on December 1. Lauderdale, who has led the program for three years, will retire at the end of the year. McIntosh will be responsible for addressing the program’s major delays and high sustainment costs, as well as negotiating prices for the next production lot.
McIntosh, who previously led Lockheed Martin’s integrated warfare systems & sensors business, will focus on strengthening positive customer experiences and ensuring the F-35 program meets customer requirements. Before joining the F-35 program, he led mission readiness and sustainment programs for various products, including the F-22, C-5, P-3, and S3 programs.
