The Israeli army announced a daily “tactical pause of military activity” in part of the southern Gaza Strip during daylight hours to facilitate aid delivery. The World Health Organization reported over 8,000 children under five treated for acute malnutrition in Gaza. International mediators have been urging a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, but progress has stalled. The World Food Programme deputy executive director highlighted challenges in delivering aid due to lawlessness and conflict in Gaza.
