The health ministry in Gaza reported that an Israeli operation in Khan Yunis has resulted in 70 people killed and over 200 wounded. The Israeli military did not confirm the toll but stated that they targeted and eliminated terrorists and terror infrastructure sites in the area. Israeli warplanes also hit weapons storage facilities, observation posts, tunnel shafts, and structures used by Hamas militants. The military ordered Gazans to leave the eastern part of a designated humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis to prepare for further operations. In recent months, the Israeli army has conducted intense military operations in areas of Gaza previously declared free of Hamas militants.
