Lebanon’s health minister reported that nine people were killed and approximately 2,800 were wounded on Tuesday due to explosions from pagers used by Hezbollah members. Among the dead was the son of Hezbollah lawmaker Ali Ammar. The son of another lawmaker, Hassan Fadlallah, was initially reported dead but later confirmed to be alive but injured. The explosions resulted in casualties, including a girl, with about 200 people critically injured. A 10-year-old girl, daughter of a Hezbollah member, was killed in east Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Iran’s ambassador to Beirut was also injured in a pager explosion. In Syria, 14 people were wounded from similar explosions. The Israeli military declined to comment on the incidents.
