Iran has been conducting daily missile salvos against Israel for the past week, following a wide-ranging Israeli attack on its nuclear and military facilities that reportedly triggered the ongoing conflict. On Friday afternoon, one missile struck an area near the docks in Haifa, damaging a building and shattering windows, as evidenced by images captured by AFP.

According to Israel’s foreign ministry, the missile landed “next to” the Al-Jarina mosque. It’s important to note that the specific locations of missile strikes in Israel are governed by strict military censorship rules, which means detailed public information is often not available.

A spokesman for Rambam hospital in Haifa reported that 19 individuals had sustained injuries from the missile attack, with one person in serious condition. A military official confirmed that “approximately 20 missiles were launched towards Israel” in this latest Iranian assault.

Since the onset of the conflict, more than 450 missiles have been fired at Israel, in addition to approximately 400 drones, according to data from Israel’s National Public Diplomacy Directorate. Furthermore, the tax authority in Israel has reportedly received over 25,000 claims related to damage caused to buildings during the war.

The escalation began with a significant wave of Israeli strikes on June 13, leading to immediate retaliation from Tehran. Both countries have seen damage to residential areas, and they have accused each other of targeting civilians throughout the conflict.

As of the latest reports, at least 25 people have been killed in Israel due to Iranian missile strikes. Conversely, Iran asserted that at least 224 people, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians, have been killed as a result of Israeli strikes, although this toll has not been updated since Sunday.
