Lebanon’s Hezbollah group attacked an Israeli army base near the border, injuring 14 soldiers. Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging cross-border fire since October 7. Hezbollah has been using explosive drones, causing injuries in Israel, and Israel has struck deeper into Lebanon.
Israeli forces hit targets in eastern Lebanon in response. The strikes targeted a warehouse in Iaat, lightly wounding one man. Israel said the strikes were against Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the Baalbek area.
Hezbollah launched a combined attack on a military command centre in Arab al-Aramshe. The attack was in response to Israeli strikes that killed resistance fighters in Ain Baal and Shehabiya. Tensions are high in the region after Iran launched an attack on Israel over the weekend.
Violence has killed at least 368 people in Lebanon, mostly Hezbollah fighters. In Israel, 10 soldiers and eight civilians have been killed near the northern border. Tens of thousands of civilians have fled their homes on both sides, sparking fears of all-out conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
