Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah warned that no place in Israel would be spared in a full-blown war against the Lebanese group and threatened Cyprus if it opened its airports to Israel. Israel must expect Hezbollah on land, by sea, and by air. Nasrallah mentioned the possibility of the resistance penetrating Galilee in northern Israel in the context of a war imposed on Lebanon.
Israel and Hezbollah have been engaging in near-daily cross-border fire since the Gaza Strip conflict began in October. The Israeli military has approved operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon and Israel’s Foreign Minister warned of Hezbollah’s destruction in a total war. Nasrallah warned Cyprus against opening its airports and bases to Israel, saying it would be seen as part of the war.
Nasrallah’s comments came after US envoy Amos Hochstein called for urgent de-escalation during a visit to Lebanon. Hezbollah has released a video showing aerial footage of northern Israel. Nasrallah also mentioned that the group has new weapons and more fighters than necessary in the worst circumstances. Hezbollah claimed several attacks on Israeli troops in northern Israel, resulting in the death of four fighters. The violence has led to the death of at least 478 people in Lebanon, including fighters and civilians, and at least 26 people in Israel.
