Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah movement fired rockets into Israel after two civilians were killed in an Israeli strike. The group had previously launched rockets at northern Israel in response to the civilian deaths. Hezbollah has been engaged in near-daily fire with the Israeli army since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, leading to war in Gaza. The rocket fire from Hezbollah has intensified in recent days, targeting Israeli military bases. On Tuesday, an Israeli strike in Hanin killed a woman and a girl from the same family. The death toll in Lebanon since October 7 is at least 380, including Hezbollah fighters and civilians, while Israel has reported 11 soldiers and eight civilians killed.
