EOS Defence Systems is looking to start arms production in Ukraine, as stated by Vice President Mark Essig during a meeting with Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenkov. Klimenkov emphasized the importance of modernizing defense capabilities and increasing international cooperation through direct contracts with manufacturers.
The Canberra-based defense firm offers a wide range of products, including laser weapons, combat and force protection systems, and counter-drone systems. The Slinger cannon system was chosen as part of a US security assistance package for Ukraine, while the German government purchased the counter-drone system to protect deployed IRIS-T air defense systems. The system features a radar and a 30mm automatic cannon with various types of ammunition and a range of 800 meters.
Additionally, L3Harris selected EOS Defense Systems USA R150 gimbals for the Ukraine-bound Vampire counter-drone system last year.
