Lockheed Martin and Boeing are expected to be contenders for NGAD. NGAD is intended to replace the F-22 Raptor fleet in the 2030s. The Air Force has proposed retiring older F-22s to fund NGAD development. Wilsbach supports keeping the Block 20 F-22s. TR-3 upgrades for the F-35 have stalled, but an interim solution may allow deliveries to resume.
